Then each piece is either refinished or just touched up to maintain original appearance. From simple countryside village designs to elaborately carved museum quality pieces. I would be more than happy to recommend your company. I ordered an item that EasternCurio.com was running a special on. At first I was a bit hesitant because I had never dealt with a company based in China before, even though I am Chinese myself. The item as described was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I had searched other sites which were based in the US but after reading some of the reviews, I wasn't so sure of the quality. Since they were running a special, the savings was significant and the amount was not that much so I decided to take a gamble. I also had never done a wire transfer to another country before so I was a bit apprehensive. I decided to jump in with both feet. I followed Mr. Hsu's instructions and I must say that he always responded to my communications and kept me informed as to when the item was being shipped and when I could expect it. He was pretty much right on the money as to ETA. All in all, I was very glad I did business with his company. I will certainly do business again with him when the need arises.

A 2008 merry Christmas to you too, as well as a successful New Year (whether it be a Chinese or Western one or indeed both).My apologies for not responding sooner but I have been suffering from repeated mail server problems and minimal time to sort them out. The queue of unread and unactioned emails is horrendous. The cabinet arrived here successfully and now has pride of place in our reception hall. And yes we both like it very much and we have had many compliments regarding it. As yet, we have not decided what to put in it; we are still at the admiring stage. I doubt if we will be buying any more items in the short term although we do have one area where at some stage a new cabinet is necessary. Our ideas for that have not yet matured; once they do, you may well be receiving an e-mail from us. Finally, thank you for your hospitality when we were in Shanghai; it was much appreciated. Thank you again for sending hardware. i am very very glad you like the cabinet(for enlarged photoes). the cabinet stands about 5 and 1/2 feet tall. it is about 17 inches wide and about 12 inches deep. i attach a picture of the cabinet open. it has 4 drawers which hold 8 bottles. the drawers slide out so easy to get to bottles. it has 2 shelf, one at the top and one at the bottom. it has a lock which i receive from japan. the lock is a brass monkey with a key to open. i make this cabinet because i like Chinese style of furniture. i make this cabinet for myself, for my home. i make furniture for myself and for my family. i do not sell these furniture so i do not know cost that i would sell. i enjoy building these furniture. the walnut wood is beautiful. it is a gift from God. this mean maybe nothing to you but, i will always remember "tank man" and his bravery. he is hero to me. thank you and please thank Cathie for your loverly Chinese Brass Hardware. I do have a couple questions. First, is the entire cabinet antique? Was it refinished? It looks in such good condition it is hard to fathom it being about 200 years old! Second, is it possible to get the top shelf? It was not in the cabinet. There is one stationary shelf (the bottom one) and one that fits on to the second set of brackets but the third (top) shelf is not there.
